Framing Flame | Artist Yin Hang’s New Shanghai Exhibition @ Fotografiska

“Deconstructing the Digital Narrative of the Image”: Through collage masks and multiple image overlays, Yin Hang’s photography seeks to denature the objects and subjects of his compositions, lending them a mysterious, dreamlike sense of pareidolia — one that undermines the very symbolic themes and meanings by which our sense of the visual scope of an image is brought about. In this video, we give an overview of the artist’s new Fotografiska exhibition and hear from the artist himself as he introduces the meanings and intent behind his imagery.
