The Human Parade | Photographer Martin Parr’s New Shanghai Exhibition @ Fotografiska

Spanning over 50 years of the artist’s works and 11 of his most significant series, Martin Parr’s Short & Sweet captures the colorful side of human life. Dominating the 2nd floor of Fotografiska’s exhibition space, the exhibition features nearly 400 of the artist’s works. With a sharp-witted, satirical approach to the human subject, Parr’s incisive approach uncovers the evolving symbols of contemporary society and culture. While largely using his lens to explore British culture, in this exhibition, Parr also keenly captures the changing landscape of China’s cultural identity and modernization. Short & Sweet runs until July 13th, giving you plenty of time to catch the exhibition before it leaves.
